I guess a good place to start is the wedding that we had last weekend. It is fantastic!! The groom wanted just regular new york style cheesecake. This is the cake for the 40th Anniversary party for my sisters' parents-in-law on July 18. It was a surprise party and they were really surprised. The cake was an adventure to travel with. I hesitated about stacking it before traveling but decided I could fix it when we got there....little did I know the bottom cake would slide to the very edge of the board and the top cake would slide the opposite way to the edge of the bottom cake. Thankfully we planned time in order to correct any boo-boos and to add the flowers once we got there. The entire cake was covered in buttercream except for the flowers which were made from fondant. I got many compliments on it and really enjoyed making it!
